Remember reading or listening to stories such as The night before Christmas, The Grinch that stole Christmas, and/or The nativity story? You have several opportunities during this holiday season to purchase a book for a loved one, friend, colleague, and classmate. On Wednesday December 8, 2010, the Redlands Barnes & Noble will host a book fair for Terrace Hills Middle School. At Colton High School, students and faculty may purchase and/or donate books for the Merry XMAS books exchanges during both lunches on Friday December 10, 2010. Educators may also purchase books at 20-80% at local Scholastic Book Fair Warehouses. Look at http://www.scholastic.com/bookfairs/events/warehouse/index.asp for futher details. For those of you who are unable to participate in any of the mentioned events, pay attention to sales & promotions from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Target, Walmart, or any other major outlet. Make sure to visit the local library for holiday activities as well. Literacy is a precious gift especially during this time of the year.
