Ms. Geltch's Favorite Reads 2009: http://youthadvocate.glogster.com/ms-geltchs-favorite-reads-of-2009/ These were my five favorite new reads for 2009
Young Adult Summer Reading 2010: http://youthadvocate.glogster.com/ya-summer-reading-2010/ My criteria for these selections are as follows:
-Age appropriate
-Thought provoking and interesting plots
-Titles somewhat overlooked
-Cross age appeal (mature middle school students-adults)
Tweener Summer Reading 2010: http://youthadvocate.glogster.com/tweener-summer-reading-2010/ Same criteria to YA except more geared to middle schoolers even though high school students and adults will also enjoy the works
Young Women Summer Reading 2010: http://youthadvocate.glogster.com/young-womens-summer-reading-2010/ Similar guidelines to YA and Tweener except plot centers on romance and/or women's issues (still under constuction)
Look at Ms. Geltch's YA Literature and May/June Multimedia Newsletter include YA related websites for more possibilities.
