As you are way aware, money for school libraries is extremely tight. One way to raise money is through a fund raiser. Fortunately, Barnes & Noble has been organizing book fairs for quite some time. On Saturday May 1, 2010, the outlet in Redlands, CA will host a joint book fair for Colton High, Colton Middle, and Terrace Hills Middle. Flyers will be distribued at each of the school sites a week prior to the event. Information will also be available on school bulletins and newspaper articles. A certain percentage of the proceeds will used to buy new materials for each of the school libraries. I encourage all parents, students, and members of the Colton community to participate.
